IMPACT Van Zandt was formed in the fall of 2016 in an effort to combat child abuse and neglect in Van Zandt County by bringing the community together.  It is amazing to see what this community has accomplished in a relatively small amount of time.  The April campaign led by Sandy Hilliard was very successful!   With this accomplishment behind us, we are now ready to make a few changes.

Monthly ”meetings” will now be more program oriented with a call to action and are open to anyone interested in the topic. We would love to hear your suggestions for topics!

Planning meetings for projects/presentations/campaigns, etc. will be held separately, with smaller groups.  These groups will likely include:  church outreach, school outreach, monthly programs, & community awareness campaigns. Anyone with an interest in serving on a project/planning committee is welcome and more information on those opportunities will be forthcoming.

The meeting locations will rotate through our faith based partners in VZC.  If your faith based organization would like to host a monthly meeting, please email us.

More than 700,000 children experience abuse or neglect each year.  Every child deserves a safe, healthy, loving home with adults that they can trust. When that inherent structure fails, the Instead of playing with friends and making happy family memories, they’re adjusting to new, temporary homes and transitioning to new schools.  That’s a heavy burden for a child to carry.

It “takes a village to raise a child.”  Join our village!
